This 60 hours course focuses on familiarizing students with the contents,format and the internet based nature of the TOEFL® iBT test, and on teaching students strategies for all four sections (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) of the test.

Objectives:

1. To develop students strategic techniques for dealing with each section of the test.
2. To develop students test taking skills - ability to guess, work at an appropriate pace, and make decisions under pressure.
3. To develop students writing skills.
4. To develop students reading and writing sub-skills.
5. To develop students ability to use context clues to understand meaning and details.
6. To develop students ability to make inferences.
7. To develop students critical thinking/reasoning skills.
8. To help students practice on authentic/adapted tests.
